Today, the World Service Office (WSO) continues this mission on a broader scale, using tools like Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and social media to reach new audiences. Though methods evolve, the message remains timeless: help and hope are always available.

Is your group or committee excited to start public outreach but doesn’t know where to start? Did you know Al‑Anon offers free, downloadable literature that can be used for public outreach?

Many newspapers now offer digital or online‑only content, so check their websites and consider leaving a thank‑you comment for the recommendation. Please protect your anonymity at the level of the internet by not revealing your Al‑Anon membership.         

Readers may contact the World Service Office (WSO) for local meeting information. To help newcomers, it is vital that groups keep their meeting information updated with the WSO and service arm websites. Thank you for offering help and hope to families and friends of alcoholics.

Al‑Anon offers a wide range of public outreach materials—some well-known, others less familiar but equally impactful. These lesser-known pamphlets address specific audiences and situations, helping carry Al‑Anon’s message to a wider audience. When alcoholism clouds our thinking and progress feels invisible, we can find clarity by sharing our current blessings with the newcomers we once were. We can remind ourselves that Al‑Anon offers a safe, loving space and tools and principles that support our daily living. Staying mindful of what we are grateful for can restore our sense of hope.
