Dear Justine,

In celebration of National Volunteer Appreciation Week, we extend our deepest gratitude to you, our alumni volunteers, for your dedication and service to Washington University in St. Louis. Each volunteer brings unique talents and perspectives to our alumni community.

Because of our APAP volunteer network of over 2,200 volunteers, we are proud to be able to connect potential new students and their families with local, knowledgeable alumni and parent volunteers. The Alumni Board of Governors has advised the Alumni Association on ways to better engage and support our alumni, as well as improve the WashU experience for current students. Alumni Network volunteers have engaged students, alumni, and parents through diverse programming, promoting network initiatives, and strengthening our community. Our Reunion volunteers have provided opportunities for their classmates to reconnect with each other, reengage with the University, and celebrate their accomplishments over the years.

You are truly making a positive difference, and your involvement strongly reflects WashU’s culture of education, support, and community.

Below we recognize just a few of our terrific volunteers who serve on behalf of our alma mater.

Thank you,
Washington University Alumni Association

Finish this statement: I am most proud to be a WashU alumna when I see how impactful and purposeful my fellow alumni are in their respective spaces. Every time I see Brittany Packnett Cunningham, AB ’06, or Morgan DeBaun, AB ’06, I just beam with pride.

What advice would you give to a WashU first-year student?
College is overwhelming. Take time to take care of yourself, and youd be surprised at how helpful a good night's sleep can be.
