Where to Find Out about Al‑Anon's History
The following materials can provide helpful information on the beginnings of our fellowship:
Why Digitize the Archives? |
Our priority at the World Service Office (WSO) Archives is safeguarding Al‑Anon’s physical artifacts and documents while making sure they remain accessible for use. A substantial portion of our physical collection has been integrated into our digital archival repository, which resides safely in the cloud.
Discovering Our Collective Recovery through Archives |
“Housing a diverse collection of materials, including written records, photographs, audio recordings, and other ephemera capturing the essence of Al‑Anon’s journey since its inception, the World Service Office (WSO) Archives preserves the experiences and lessons learned by those who have walked this path of recovery…”
The World Service Office’s International team works closely with multilingual Al‑Anon service structures across the globe that wish to translate and reprint our Al‑Anon Conference Approved Literature (CAL) in their native languages. Part of this process includes an independent review of translated CAL to ensure it is faithful to the spiritual tone and message of the original.
If you are fluent in another language (other than Spanish or French) in addition to English and would be willing to serve as an independent reviewer, please send us an email with your contact information and the languages in which you are proficient.

The 14th RECACSA Zonal Meeting took place in Siguatepeque, Honduras, November 17–19, 2023, and was hosted by the General Service Office (GSO) in Honduras. One World Service Office (WSO) Staff member and one WSO Volunteer joined 12 International Delegates representing six Central American and Caribbean structures for a weekend of shared leadership and collaboration.
