Mary Jane Calvey is leading the efforts of planning a trip to celebrate the successful implementation of this grant in Peru and invites any Rotary member plus their spouse who may want to travel to the celebration and meet fellow Rotarians from the Miraflores Rotary Club of Piura. Travel dates will be September 20 through September 27, 2025 and a travel agent in country is assisting in lodging and transport accommodations. Should you wish to join, you can even choose to add time in Peru if you want to explore other parts of the beautiful country. For more information, contact Mary Jane Calvey

| May 2025 Rotary Magazine for Rotarian Subscribers
Nearly a decade ago, we told the story of a campaign to resolve a contentious debate over removing dams on a sacred waterway in the Pacific Northwest. That story, in our December 2016 issue, centered on the Rotarian working to mediate a deal, which collapsed at the last minute. In this issue of Rotary magazine, we return to the Klamath River to find the deal revived, the dams gone, and a way of life restored.
Click here to read your digital copy of the May 2025 issue.
In another of this month's features, come with us to Fort Worth, Texas, where a Rotary club is using minority business awards to lift the fortunes of enterprises with heart, itself included. In the Our Clubs section, read about another group of Rotarians, in Silicon Valley, lifting up an overlooked category of adult students with vocational scholarships.
Finally, to mark Rotary's Youth Service Month, Stephanie Urchick passes the mic in her president's message to a Rotaractor from Brazil who reminds us how teamwork and inclusivity can spark transformative change.
