Happy (almost) October, all. I think we've survived the September 90-degree days and have made the turn to Fall. I know life is full, but... as you feel your body wanting to take a breath or pause for a moment, try listening. It is baked into our DNA to slow down as the weather cools, the days get shorter, and the afternoon darkness comes sooner. We aren't far removed from animals sensing the turn toward Winter when they slow down, some of them hibernating for months. Plan on some hearty crock-pot stews, look ahead to something you might say "no" to in this season, and rest. Even if just a bit.
If God called Moses to rest in the midst of leading an ornery, exhausted community through the wilderness (for decades), and if that God promised Moses God would be with him and give him rest... surely that God asks of and promises the same for us.
To the words above, Moses responded to God, "If your presence will not go, do not carry us up from here" (Exodus 33:15). Moses knew he could not continue without God's presence in his life. Would we be a people who know what Moses knew and rely on God just the same.

Last Sunday Worship

On the last Sunday of each month we gather for dinner, worship, and communion. These Sunday night worship spaces are open to the whole congregation. Join us and bring your families for Last Sunday Worship.

Second Annual Partnership + Marriage Retreat

Join us for the first time or a second year!
Curious about the Enneagram? Want to grow deeper in relationship with your partner/spouse? This retreat will be both delightful and an opportunity to grow individually and together. Join us for a Friday evening session (including dinner dates) and a Saturday morning session at WPC as we dig deeper into knowing ourselves and our partners.
Each person will take a test before the workshop, and iEQ9Integrative Enneagram will give each couple their test results. The report is rich with ideas to hear one another better and deal with differences better. It covers communication, parenting (if applicable), finances, etc. Each couple’s report will be the basis for all that we do during the Friday night and Saturday sessions.
We will cover a lot in our time together, and the report will be yours to keep and use, as it is helpful for you.

| Wednesday Night Dinner
October 7, 2026

The first Wednesday of the month, the cafe opens at 4 pm for games, puzzles, crafts, open gym, and playground time for families. (Parents are in charge of children.) From 5:30-6:30 we eat dinner together. This month we'll have Moe's taco bar.
The cost is $10 per person. $40 family max. Register below by Monday, October 5.

October 18 we will join the whole church for a look at the Mission Study report being compiled for use in our Pastor Search. This is the overview of WPC that will be available to candidates looking to apply. Please come and share your thoughts.
October 25-November 15 we will join the whole church for a four week series called Know Tech November. We have been working on this series for months and are excited to be together as a whole congregation for this conversation. Below is the information for that series. Please plan to join us.
