Maverick entrepreneur lands summer internship as esports broadcaster
|
Benjamin Kocurek, a UTA junior business management major, traveled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this past summer to broadcast play-by-play and analysis for an international esports tournament that featured $2 million in prizes. The show had a viewing audience of more than 254,000 people.

Lou Diamond Phillips spends time at UTA

Actor, writer, and director Lou Diamond Phillips has returned to UTA, his alma mater, for a weeklong residency that began Saturday, Oct.14. The Tony Award nominee will lead classes and interact with students across the college in an all-day film shoot.

Photo competition deadline

During the month of October, submit a photo to See the Unseen, a gallery exhibit that will showcase the often-overlooked elements of culture and community that shape the world. Submit intercultural images by Tuesday, Oct. 31, for the chance to win a prize in one of three categories.

Homecoming parade entry registration available
|
UTA’s Homecoming parade theme this year is Hollywood. Participate in this beloved school tradition by registering an organization in the parade by Monday, Oct. 23, 5 p.m. The parade itself will be Saturday, Nov. 11, 3:15 p.m.

| Homecoming 5K Run/Walk/Roll
|
Planned for Saturday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., UTA’s Homecoming 5K will take a scenic route throughout the UTA campus. The 5K is open to all UTA students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. All the proceeds of the event will go toward the UTA Emergency Assistance Fund.

Homecoming Chili Cook-Off
|
Join the Homecoming crew and the Division of Student Affairs for the annual Chili Cook-Off, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 8, 12-2 p.m. Teams will compete to win the ultimate prize of chili cook-off champion, bragging rights, and a trophy. The event is open to all UTA students, faculty, staff, and alumni groups.
