| | FROM THE PARENT PROGRAM DIRECTOR
| |
From all of us in the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement, we wish your family a very Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year! We hope your student has had a wonderful semester filled with growth and meaningful experiences.
May this extended break bring you precious time together—creating memories, sharing laughter and simply enjoying each other's company as you celebrate the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of Jesus and the hope He brings as our Savior.
Wishing you a season filled with peace, joy, and the blessings of faith and family.
Stacy Blackston ('00) Director of Parent Engagement

| | 21st ANNUAL LIGHTING OF THE GREEN
| |
What a merry Lighting of the Green Lipscomb hosted on Dec. 2! Special thanks to our host, Ellie Holcomb, who brought her Christmas cheer and amazing talents to Allen Arena. She and her special guests Lelan Statom, Matt Maher, Sandra McCracken, Daves Highway and Lipscomb Academy and University choirs and ensembles filled the room and our hearts with Christmas spirits.

On the first Tuesday of each month the parent program hosts a monthly prayer Zoom for our Lipscomb families. You are invited to join us as we get to know other parents, share prayer requests and praises.
Each month, a guest speaker who is a faculty member, local minister or parent, will facilitate our time together. On Jan. 6, Josh Graves, who serves as the senior minister for the Otter Creek Church in Brentwood, will be sharing with us. He loves telling Jesus stories to anyone who will listen.
The Zoom begins at 10:55 a.m. CT. This is the same time that our students will be in “The Gathering” which is our large group chapel. What a beautiful thing it is to take a break in the day to worship and pray together. Feel free to join us on screen or by voice—we understand you may be working!

As you think about making your end-of-the-year gifts to causes dear to you and your family, please consider making a gift to the Parent Impact Fund.
The Parent Impact Fund provides immediate resources that directly benefit students, including academic support, emergency assistance, financial aid, mental health services and enhanced campus experiences. The Parent Leadership Council works to identify the most pressing needs and determine where your gift will have the greatest impact. Every contribution—no matter the size—adds up to make a lasting investment in your student’s future.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, time to plan for your 2026-2027 financial aid!
For returning students, it's time to file your 26-27 FAFSA. Students are required to complete the FAFSA to be considered for state and federal aid, as well as some scholarships at Lipscomb. It is important to file the FAFSA as early as possible as there are some state grants that are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. As you may recall, students will initiate the FAFSA application and a parent will be invited to complete their portion of the form.
Summer courses at Lipscomb can be a great way to balance out your traditional year. For 2026 Lipscomb is offering courses at a discounted tuition rate. Some state and federal aid may be available to help further. You can read more about financial aid here.
While it is too late to set up a five-month payment plan for spring bills, four and three month options are available. If you assist your student with bills and payments, please be sure they have added you as an Authorized User in TouchNet and completed FERPA permissions in their CNS student portal.
