Caring for Ourselves and Each Other This Season |
As we approach the final months of 2025, many of us are preparing for Fall and Winter Breaks—a time to pause, reflect, and recharge. These breaks are not just moments to rest, but opportunities to recognize the dedication, collaboration, and care that define our CC community.
The holidays can be a meaningful time of connection, but for some, it may be a time of emotional strain, financial pressure, or feelings of isolation. In light of the current political and economic climate, many are feeling added stress and uncertainty.
Please know that you are not alone and that Colorado College is here to support you. We encourage you to care for yourselves and one another during this time and to reach out if you need support of any kind.

Community Safety and Responsibility |
- The end of the year often includes celebrations and social gatherings. While alcohol may be served at some events, we remind everyone that working while impaired is prohibited, and that we all have a role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and respectful campus environment.
-
As a reminder, CC complies with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendment of 1989. Our Drug-Free Campus and Workplace Policy prohibits the unlawful possession, use, distribution, or manufacture of illicit drugs (including marijuana) or alcohol on college property or during any official college activity.
- Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, or may involve participation in a rehabilitation program. In some cases, legal consequences may apply.
-
If you or someone you know is experiencing substance use challenges, please know that confidential help is available, and seeking support will never be reported to the College or outside authorities.

As we close out 2025, I want to extend my sincere gratitude for all you contribute to this campus—not just in your work, but in the care you show one another every day.
I hope you find time this season to rest, reflect, and reconnect in ways that are meaningful to you. Whether you are spending time with loved ones, traveling, or simply taking a quiet moment for yourself, please know how valued you are as part of the Colorado College community.

Take care of yourselves, and each other.
Warm regards,
|
