Fr. Josh kicked off our Sunday adult formation for the year on Sunday with the first class in a series called, Surprised by Grace. We had over 100 adults, 32 youth, and almost 90 children in our Christian education classes on Sunday!

Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost
Holy Eucharist, 8:30 & 11:00 a.m.
Please join us this Sunday, September 13, for Holy Eucharist at either 8:30 or 11:00 a.m. The 8:30 service will be live-streamed and available on demand for later viewing. For Families: The nursery will open at 8:15 a.m. for ages 0–3 years, and the 8:30 service will include a children's homily for 3 yrs through 6th grade.

Formation Hour
Christian formation continues for all ages starting at 10 a.m., including children and youth. Fr. Josh continues his adult formation class, Surprised by Grace. Join him as he explores the revelatory nature of God’s grace through scriptural, cultural, and literary examples, as well as personal experiences. Fr. Josh will examine how grace pulls us into knowing the love of God and changes our understanding of who we are. Come be surprised by the amazing grace of God!

YOUNG ADULTS GATHERING | THIS SUNDAY!
The Young Adults Gathering is kicking off with its first event on September 17th at 5:30 p.m.! This group is comprised of 20s-30s without children who gather twice a month to share potluck meals, conversations, and the Gospel. Our gatherings are a safe place to find peers, ask questions, and be encouraged in our Christian commitment to God's work in our world. HIGH SCHOOL ICE CREAM RUN | RSVP BY THIS THURSDAY!
Ice cream, you scream! It's time for an ice cream run! The high school group will be meeting for an ice cream run on September 17 from 4-5 p.m.! They will meet at Sevier Park by the playground in the parking lot by Clayton Ave. Be sure to RSVP by September 14th.

SHARE THE DEEP LOVE OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD | CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD TRAINING
Level I Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Training is a unique opportunity to share in the joy of the Good Shepherd. This training program is a transformative experience using a method that has been tested and used in countries throughout the world for almost 70 years and serves a variety of Christian denominations. THURSDAY MORNING WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY | CHILDCARE AVAILABLE!
The Thursday Women's Bible study meets every Thursday from 9:30–11:30 a.m. and is studying the Gospel of Luke using N. T. Wright’s Luke for Everyone, available in the bookstore and anywhere you buy books. Join this multi-generational group no matter the amount of preparation you’re able to put in. For more information, contact Gretchen Abernathy.
With prior registration, childcare is available for kids not yet in kindergarten. To register for childcare, contact Emily Newton, Nursery Childcare Coordinator.

THE BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS | OCTOBER 1
Mark your calendars for the celebration of St. Francis' Feast Day on Sunday, October 1 at 4 p.m. in St. B’s Garden. In addition to animal blessings, we will include prayers and praise for all creation. We welcome all creatures (including stuffed animals) and those who simply enjoy the beauty of the earth. This is a great opportunity to bring a neighbor or a friend.

VOLUNTEER AT THE BRANCH | OCTOBER 14
If you missed the opportunity to sign up for September's Volunteer Day with Shower Up, now's your chance to register for October's volunteer opportunity with The Branch! You may help sort, stock, pack, and distribute food boxes to families in The Branch of Nashville's food distribution center. It is also great for parents and children ages 8 and up. Art Fair Returns on Nov. 19: Calling all artists, crafters, and published musicians and authors! Please contact John Andrade to learn more about sharing the fruits of your labor with our community at our annual pre-holiday Art Fair. The Art Fair is a fundraiser for our Gallery & Bookstore and vendor tables are available for former and current parishioners and their family members.

St. B's Nursery is still in need of workers! This is a paid opportunity for anyone who loves working with children and is looking for a way to help or get involved! The nursery needs help caring for children ages 0-4 during Sunday services. Nursery workers are paid $15/hr and must be 18 years or older and receive Safe Church Training. Interested? St. Luke's Food Pantry Items: Diapers (all sizes welcome but children’s sizes 3, 4, 5, & 6 are our most urgent need), Non-perishable food, Hygiene products (toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, deodorant, lotion etc.) Feminine hygiene products, Household cleaning supplies (detergent, cleaners, bleach, etc.), Baby formul, Pet food. You can also donate through their AMAZON or TARGET wish list. Please leave collections for St. Luke's food pantry in the cabinet beside the doors to the gym.

Volunteers Needed for Sunday Prayer Desk: Every Sunday at worship we offer a space for individuals and couples seeking prayer at our prayer desk. We are in need of volunteers to participate in this very important ministry. If interested, please call Pam MacArthur, 615-519-1309.

Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ was lifted high upon the cross that he might draw the whole world to himself: Mercifully grant that we, who glory in the mystery of our redemption, may have grace to take up our cross and follow him; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting.
