OSI -- Office of Student Involvment
For student intrested in being apart of a community that is likeminded in their majors and disciplines, visit https://www.oakland.edu/osi/. The Office of Student Involvment has connections to many resources such as student organizations like Pre-Medical Society, Pre-Physicial Assistant Society, and Pre-Pharmacy Society.


Volunteer Opportunity - Pre-Health Volunteering Positions
The cardiology practice of Vicky Savas MD, located in Southfield, Michigan, has positions open to students interested in the medical field, those planning to take a gap year or those currently in their gap year. 
This position offers direct patient care with no prior experience necessary. They are willing to teach our volunteers how to perform EKGs, enter data in EHR, how to take patient history, etc.
We have immediate positions available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and would like for our volunteers to work from 8 am to 5 pm.

OU Organizations - Pre-Medical Society E-Board Applications
Oakland University's Pre-Medical Society have opened applications for their E-Board positions during the 2024-25 academic year.
Available positions are Secretary, Volunteer Coordinator, Social Coordinator, Outreach Coordinator.

Open House - UoM School of Denistry Open House
Participants must register for the event (IT'S FREE!) and there is only space for 200 visitors.  Registrants will receive an email reminder before the event with further instructions (parking, where to enter the building, etc.).

This is a great opportunity for pre-dental or pre-health students to visit our newly renovated school, learn more about admissions and what Michigan has to offer!  The event will also have several dental student organizations available on site after the tour to speak with visitors about opportunities to get involved while being a student at our school.

Professional Mentor Opportunity - Eye Opener Sessions
The Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry has designed a program to connect students who are curious about optometry with practicing eye doctors. By answering a few questions about your goals and hobbies, they’ll match Doctors of Optometry with like-minded students. 
Participants in the Eye Opener Sessions must be 18 or older, and are prohibited from arranging or soliciting in-person meetings with minors through this platform.
