- I would like to send a Shout Out to Ms. Jones at Swansboro Elementary for her stewardship of the arts, music, and our community! Congratulations on the fine video about the Swansboro choir program produced by RPS!
- Huge thank you to Relay Run Co and We Off the Couch run club for welcoming the Lucille M. Brown MS track and field team to Relay Run Co's Richmond warehouse. We were welcomed with an inspiring message from VCU Basketball Hall of Famer Calvin Duncan; and through Relay Run Co's generosity, each athlete was gifted with two pairs of new running shoes and a pair of socks! Thank you to Anthony and Tara Clary, Darryl Williams, Patton Gleason, Chris Farley, Chastity Rodriguez, Calvin Duncan, and LMBMS's own Mr. Brown and Mr. Rennalls for organizing this wonderful partnership. Go, Panthers!
- Do you want to meet some of RPS's brightest stars and future leaders? Look no further than your school testing coordinators! The amazing educators selected for this position are some of our brightest stars and deserve a huge thank you from both the Testing Department and the many teachers and students whose testing day is made easier by their hard work. STCs put in countless hours of training and planning to ensure that state-mandated testing runs smoothly for both students and staff. As we head into SOL season, please join us in giving them a huge shoutout for their herculean efforts, all done in addition to their regular duties as administrators, counselors, librarians, coaches, interventionists, and intervention liaisons. We appreciate and acknowledge all that they do and thank them for their critical and often underappreciated hard work!!
- Shouting out LaTonia Kelley, math instructional specialist, for being so helpful and resourceful in her support of the end of course (EOC) exams across the district especially at our middle schools. She is always so positive when engaging and guiding teachers and students. We are so grateful for all you do.

| 2023-24 Preschool & Kindergarten Enrollment – Preschool and kindergarten enrollment is underway! We offer preschool for eligible 3 and 4-year olds, and kindergarten for all 5-year-olds living in Richmond. If your student is currently enrolled at an RPS preschool, they will still need to register for kindergarten. For more information, please email enrollrps@rvaschools.net.

| RPS Shines – This May, we're hosting our Second Annual RPS Shines, a special evening to recognize and honor our life-changing teachers, principals, and support staff. You can help us celebrate these amazing individuals in two ways: 1) by nominating RPS educators for our divisionwide awards; 2) by supporting RPS Shines with a donation to the Richmond Public Schools Education Foundation. Thank you!
