Sunday info
Dear Westminster Family,
So many wonderful things are happening at Westminster that I sometimes get a little anxious wondering whether everyone knows about them! We communicate in so many ways, yet sometimes, even when we're communicating, we still fail to connect!
So, in an effort to relieve a little of my anxiety (and perhaps yours), here are a few things I really want you to Taste and See!
Show up Sunday for Celtic Sunday! Some of the best music of the year, and as an added bonus, a short sermon! What's not to love?
Come to Know Tech November (in October)! Yes, you read that correctly. Join us in Fellowship Hall, where the temperature will be perfect! Jesus tells us to love God and love our neighbors. That's getting harder to do when we're all glued to our technology.
Room In The Inn needs Innkeepers! Without innkeepers, there won't be much of an inn. This ministry is one of the beautiful ways Westminster puts faith into action, but it takes people willing to show up. Please sign up here.
Habitat needs some muscle! In November, we'll be setting walls, and we need willing hands and strong backs. You don't have to be a master builder to make a difference.
Your generosity helps make it happen. Read the announcements, click the links, invite a friend, and most importantly, “Taste and see! Come be part of what God is doing among us.
With gratitude and a little less anxiety (I hope!)
- Donovan

LIVE Stream
No more glitches!  Westminster Streaming
The Good News: We've moved to a brand-new streaming service! It's a fantastic upgrade with exciting new features, higher-quality video, improved sound, and more ways than ever to watch and worship with us online.
The Not-So-Good News: Like any big change, there may be a few growing pains. The transition will take several days to complete. For example:  If you’ve been watching us on a TV APP SUCH AS ROKU OR APPLE TV, you’ll need to delete your app.  We are working on a replacement, but you can watch us on your YouTube app.
The Great News: Once all is set, you'll enjoy a clearer picture, richer sound, and a more reliable viewing experience that makes being connected to Westminster easier than ever!
Thank you for being so patient as we make something good even better!

Week 1: Incarnation (Choosing to be Human)
Question for the week: Does the incarnation (God taking on human flesh) matter in the conversation of tech, social media and AI? If so, why? If not, why?
Overall Summary
The world is not lacking in conversations, books, position papers, movies, podcasts, political persuasions, and opinions on the effects of tech, social media, and AI on the human community. What *is* lacking is more conversation about the ways our relationship with a God who took on flesh might shape our understanding of what it means for us to be human, too... particularly as it relates to tech, social media, and AI.
Know Tech November is a four-week opportunity, six months in the making, for Westminster to join in conversation and shared curiosity about how our faith informs the ways we think about and use technology and experience being human.
As followers of an incarnate God, what does that matter to this conversation? No matter your age, this one's for you.

Bells and Banners for All Saints' Sunday

All Saints' Day is November 1st and one way we will celebrate is with banners processed down the aisle to stand at the front of the Sanctuary. In the Parlor, we invite you to attach a bell to the banners for those loved ones who have already gone on to be a part of the Communion of Saints. As the bells process, the tinkling and ringing of the bells will remind us that we are surrounded by so great a Cloud of Witnesses.
We’re talking the text!  Each Tuesday, the pastoral staff discusses the sermon text for the upcoming Sunday, and we publish it each Wednesday in our eBlast and our YouTube channel on Wednesdays. We invite you to listen in and hear our conversation about God’s Word.
