Congregational Reception to Welcome New Members

12:00 p.m. • Parlor

The GETconnected Committee is hosting a reception to welcome and celebrate these new members. Everyone is welcome!

The Session of Westminster Presbyterian Church received the following new members at a called meeting this morning. They will be welcomed into this community of faith during the 11:00 a.m. service of worship today. We rejoice in their presence among us, the witness of their faith, their life stories and gifts, and sense of call!
As we reach the midpoint of our annual generosity campaign, we are reminded of how blessed we are to be part of a community rooted in support, nurture, and care. In a world often marked by division and uncertainty, it’s a profound gift to witness the unity and fellowship that flourishes here.

Our Joy in Learning Ministry provides a glimpse into the breadth and depth of how we serve, grow, and find joy together. Consider the past summer, when members generously shared their time and skills to support our refugee community providing practical workshops on presentation skills, mock interview prep, cooking, gardening, financial planning and public speaking. Each week, volunteers lead activities in tai chi, mah-jong and chess, fostering learning and connection. Our sewing and crochet crews have worked with Preston Taylor Ministries, Strick’s Gift, Renewal House and Westminster Home Connection to provide baby blankets, washcloths, burp cloths, scrubbies, soap and dishcloths. Every child baptized in our sanctuary receives a knitted baby hat lovingly created by members. Our pottery team has helped participants of all ages and the Writers’ Roundtable continues to inspire creativity and fellowship in our café each week.
These activities are just a few examples of how our community shines as a beacon of hope and light. And they are all made possible by your generosity. No matter what the need may be, you have stepped up, engaged and contributed to our shared mission. Your unwavering commitment of talent, time, treasure and love is a remarkable testament to the beautiful new thing God is doing among and through us.
Thank you for your continued support and generosity—together, we are doing something extraordinary.

We invite you to join us in the Youth Café on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. to say thank you to him for all his hard work (and hilarious Instagram videos) and to say goodbye.
If you would like to show your appreciation to T.J., please leave him a note or card. For those of you who would like to give him a check, please make it out directly to T.J. DO NOT MAKE IT OUT TO WESTMINSTER.

Woven Book Study
4:00 p.m.
Magnolia Room

Join Sophie for a conversation about the book Woven by Meredith Miller.
"Much like a spider's web in which anchor strands
and internal threads combine to form a unique
web, Woven can help children anchor to who God
is and have faith practices that are rich and textured."
Based on great research and real-life experience,
the author brings practical, delightful ways to nurture your child's and your family's faith at home.
All are welcome.
We will meet while the children sing during choir rehearsal.
Contact Sophie, smaness@nashvillewpc.org, for info.

Where's Camille?

Many folks have wondered where Camille is on Sundays as you haven't seen him around.
He is currently out on medical leave and under the care of his daughter and doctors. We hope he will return soon.
Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
