Students at a student org table

   MEAN GREEN FLING TABLING

Attention, student orgs! Mean Green Fling, where new students can find an organization that’s just right for them, is coming up from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, and now is the time to sign up to host a table!  The registration deadline is Sunday, Aug. 2 (or when all spots are full). If you miss the deadline, you can join the waitlist in case a spot opens up.

Individuals also can register to volunteer at the event and earn service hours.

   POPPI POWER

DYK? The creator of one of today’s most popular soft drinks is a UNT graduate!

Allison Ellsworth (’09), founder of Poppi, graduated with a degree in sociology and then worked as a contractor for an oil and gas company. She says due to the constant work travel, her health began to suffer.

So she set out to make a drink that would help her feel good and would taste great, too, and that’s when she and her husband created the probiotic soda in their kitchen. Read more about her journey.
