   VALENTINE'S DAY   

Love is in the air — Valentine’s Day is only a few days away! Whether you have a significant other, you’re in a “just friends” relationship or you’re rocking solo, there are plenty of events happening around campus to get you in the spirit of the big day.

  • Wednesday, Feb. 11 – Play Sweethearts Bingo, 4-6 p.m. in the University Union Lyceum
  • Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 11-12 – Make your own custom Valentine’s Cards, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. in the University Union, Room 214
  • Thursday, Feb. 12 – Learn how to not break the bank this Valentine’s Day with Cost of Love, 2-4 p.m. in the Frisco Landing Lobby
  • Thursday, Feb. 12 – Create Paper Portraits with your significant other, noon-2 p.m. in the University Union Emerald Ballroom, Room 314
  • Friday, Feb. 13 – Check out Love & Kisses consent awareness and gift bags, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on the Library Mall
 

   MAJOR DECISIONS   

If you could use help choosing a major, the Office of Advising Services is here to assist. Whether you want to change your major or have yet to decide what you want to study, the Exploring Majors Workshop Series can help guide you in the right direction. The next session is from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 12, in Sage Hall, Room 166, with four more sessions later in the semester. Sign up on Navigate if you are interested!

   BIG EVENT ENERGY   

The Big Event is a day set aside for students, faculty, staff and alumni to come together to serve the Denton community with multiple nonprofit organizations. The Big Event day of service is from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, March. 28. To participate, you must register to volunteer as a student organization or as an individual by Sunday, March 1.

   GRAD LIFE   

Life as a graduate student can be stressful! The Grad Life Workshop Series is designed to help grad students make life a little easier. With multiple sessions throughout the semester, each covers a different topic to help students navigate the journey of earning an advanced degree! The first session of the spring is from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, and all workshops are virtual via Zoom.

   FAFSA ALERT   

Students who want to see if they qualify for financial aid for the Summer 2026 semester must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before the priority deadline, Sunday, Feb. 15.

If you want to be considered for summer aid, the Summer Aid Interest Form will be available on my.unt.edu, starting Tuesday, Feb. 17. The priority deadline to submit it is Tuesday, March 17.

   ORG OF THE MONTH   

Every month, Student Activities comes together to choose an organization to win a $100 co-sponsorship. If you want to get rewarded for the efforts you and your organization have made for the past month, follow the instructions and apply on OrgSync by Sunday, Feb. 15.  And make sure you re-apply by the 15th of each month through April to have more chances to win.

   MEAN GREEN THUMB   

Gardening is a great way to take a break and de-stress while spending time outdoors. Thankfully, Eagles, you have multiple opportunities at UNT to commune with nature! Come outside and help take care of the environment.

  • Native Bed workdays: Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m. at Legends Hall
  • Sustainable Arts Garden workdays: Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon between Bain Hall and Ken Bahnsen Gym
