Mavericks came together in song, dance, and reflection for UTA's annual Juneteenth Festival. It was an afternoon of celebration and remembrance of the history and meaning of Juneteenth.

"I think it's just more and more newspaper companies are finding it harder and harder to operate on their own," she said.

July 3-4 University closure
The University will be closed July 3-4, in recognition of Independence Day. The Office of Talent, Culture, and Inclusion has prepared instructions for managers and employees on how to record the holiday hours in TCP.
UT Benefits is offering a digital weight loss program at no cost to employees. The program teaches the science of health and nutrition so that you can enjoy your favorite foods this grill season and still lose weight. Space is limited; apply by Sunday, June 25.
New faculty and staff are welcome to join a campus tour on the last Friday of every month. Guided walking tours last approximately 1.5 hours. To attend, arrive at the Dan Dipert University Welcome Center, 580 South Center St., about 15 minutes before start time. Rusty Taco will open its first on-campus dining venue at UTA in July. The new dining spot will be part of the campus' current meal plan, allowing guests to use Dining Dollars and MavMoney. Through Grubhub, guests will be able to enjoy tacos via mobile order pick-up. More information is coming soon.
College Night at the Frisco RoughRiders is Saturday, Aug. 5, at 7:05 p.m. Your $25 ticket will include a Riders crewneck. The school that sells the most tickets will select someone to toss the first pitch.
