Sacramento State sees 256% rise in graduation rates over 10 years |
During the past decade, Sacramento State has raised its four-year graduation rate from 8.5% to 30.3%, one of the highest such gains in the CSU system. Graduation rates have increased among all ethnic groups during that period, including Asian, Black, and Hispanic students. “Kudos to our amazing faculty for leading efforts that allow more students to transform their lives,” said Sac State president Luke Wood. The jumps reflect efforts to add more seats to key courses and eliminate administrative barriers to timely graduation.

Sac State sees historic enrollment numbers |
Sac State’s enrollment reached 31,307 students this fall, one of the highest head counts in the University’s history. Recruiting campaigns aimed at scholars who live out of state helped bump up the numbers. The University also worked to attract students from diverse backgrounds. Its Black Honors College, Native American College, and Combat U sports club were created with those students in mind.
