TRUE MAROONS     
Student ambassadors represented DCHS during the Education Celebration at the Iowa State Capitol where they spoke to alumni and DCHS parents who work at the Iowa Legislature or in related careers, including Matt Hinch ‘98, Jake Ketzner ‘04 and Tom Chapman. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect them with professional mentors!
In February Harrison Gudorf '15 became the Commander of Chaos Company, 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division in Fort Riley, Kansas. In his first command, the company consists of 14 Abrams Tanks and about 75 soldiers. Gudorf was promoted to the rank of Captain in the US Army in 2023. In March, he and his wife Anne Marie (Sticklen) ‘15 welcomed their third child.
In the last home game of her college career, Caitlin Clark '20 and the Iowa Hawkeyes earned a 64-54 over West Virginia to advance to the Sweet 16. The team will face No. 5 seed Colorado on Saturday in Albany, N.Y. Read about the "Caitlin Clark effect" at CBS Sports
Megan (Splittgerber) Lone '06 has been named the new assistant administrator at Sacred Heart School in West Des Moines. She has served in Catholic education for 13 years, most recently as a lead teacher at St. Augustin. 
Oklahoma's Jennie (Lillis) Baranczyk ‘00 has been named Big 12 Women's Basketball Coach of the Year! Congrats!
Congratulations to Bishop Garrigan football coach Marty Wadle '85 on being named the 8-player Iowa Coach of the Year!

Dowling Catholic proudly bestows numerous awards on St. Joseph Academy and DCHS alumni, including selection to the Athletic Hall of Fame.
