UTA announces westward expansion
|
The UT System Board of Regents approved on Aug. 5 UTA’s plan to purchase land to establish a new campus, UTA West, that will bring all the benefits of a top-tier research university and the nation’s best public university system to west Fort Worth within the eastern edge of Parker County. UTA West will be a new campus advantageously positioned at the intersection of I-30 and I-20 at the western gateway of Fort Worth and will be dedicated to meeting the educational needs of one of the fastest-growing areas in the country.

The Office of Transition Programs and Services will host the Mentor Connections Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Palo Duro Lounge of the University Center. To bring awareness to the many mentoring opportunities on our campus, organizers are calling on all UTA departments and organizations to participate. Volunteer for Move-In Day
|
Volunteer for Move-In Day to help welcome students to their new on-campus homes. Move-In Day will be 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 for residence halls and Friday, Aug. 16 for apartments. Volunteers will receive a free volunteer T-shirt for moving items into new students' rooms in residence halls and assisting with the check-in process for apartments. Organizers ask that anyone who signs up to drive mule carts is trained and certified prior to Move-In Day. Sign up for shifts by Tuesday, Aug. 13, 5 p.m. For more information, email Quinton Lane, assistant director of Apartment and Residence Life.
