NEW REPORT SHOWS UNIVERSITY INNOVATION FUELS PROSPERITY AND LOCAL ECONOMIC GROWTH
A new report from the George W. Bush Presidential Center indicates that research and innovation from higher education institutions provide a boon to their local economies. The report highlighted cities that are, "performing best in building effective innovation ecosystems and talent pipelines," naming the Durham-Chapel Hill metro area as the top-performing metro area for university innovation impact per capita. In addition, it also named Durham-Chapel Hill as one of the best metro areas for filling in-demand workplace needs.
