Developing more powerful rocket engines

A UTA researcher has received a NASA grant for in-space propulsion to make rocket engines more efficient, compact, and powerful. The $900,000 project also includes mentoring opportunities for K-16 students.

National AIDS Memorial partners with UTA Libraries

A portion of the AIDS Memorial Quilt will be displayed on the sixth floor of UTA Central Library as part of a special exhibit from Tuesday, Nov. 28 through Saturday, Dec. 2. On the first day of the exhibit, UTA Libraries will host a special event from noon to 2 p.m. University offices and local organizations will have tables set up to provide information about LBGTQ+ history and resources about HIV and AIDS.

Glass art holiday sale, fundraiser

The Department of Art and Art History is pleased to announce its Holiday Glass Art Sale and Fundraiser. Faculty, staff, and students can be among the first to explore and purchase pieces Friday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The general public sale will be Saturday, Dec. 9, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sale funds support UTA’s talented students, while also contributing to the advancement of the Department of Art and Art History.

Commencement volunteers needed
|
The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs cannot accomplish everything on commencement day without the help of fellow UTA staff and faculty volunteers. If you are interested and available, sign up to volunteer to assist with Fall Commencement, which will take place Friday, Dec. 15, at Globe Life Field. Sign-up spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have questions about the volunteer roles, email Ryan Gilmore. Volunteers are invited to sign up for a tour of Globe Life Field that will start after volunteer training on Thursday, Dec. 14.
