Only two tasks remain for the cookie season: ensuring the troop is set for the final ACH and distributing rewards. Finalize deposits of cash/check into the Troop bank account. If families used mobile payment services (like Venmo or CashApp) to turn in money, verify the funds are credited to the troop account. View your Troop Balance Summary report in Smart Cookies for the troop financials including the final PGA, troop proceeds total, and the balance due for the final ACH on May 2.
|
|
|
-
If your troop receives an NSF check or incurs bank fees due to high deposit activity, complete a Finance/Inventory Issue Form by May 31.
-
If your troop only participated in shipped cookie sales and/or is due a refund for troop proceeds earned, River Valleys will process that refund to the troop bank account via an ACH on April 25. Be sure your troop bank account information has been entered in Smart Cookies.
-
Juliette’s who are paid in full will show an overpayment in their Troop Balance Summary that equals the troop proceeds.
- Keep copies of all deposit tickets and bank receipts until December 31, 2025.

Reflect & Celebrate with Your Troop! |
The end of the season means it’s time to reflect on what the Troop learned and make time to celebrate their accomplishments. Schedule an end of season wrap-up party while the cookie season is still fresh in their minds. Talk about numbers that mean something to them:
|
-
Final sales numbers and fun stats like Troop PGA and proceeds earned
- What skills did they use or grow in?
- Who reached or adjusted their goals and how they did it?
- What worked well, and what they’d like to change next year?
|
Finally, encourage them to also make time to thank everyone in their cookie crew that helped with their sale.

Cookie Seller Spotlight of the Year Winners |
|
|
We’ve had so many excellent submissions each week and now it is time to bring it to an end and announce our Cookie Seller Spotlight of the Year winners! Congratulations to:
Daisy/Brownie/Junior Winner: Troop 47959 (pictured: Vera B and Hope A.)
Troop 47959 knows that teamwork is key to a successful cookie booth! They’ve assigned job roles to each scout, rotating through their shift to practice customer service, inventory management, and money skills. To make selling even more fun, they use a BINGO board strategy, which customers love, and scouts earn exciting rewards like spa nights, ice cream socials, and s’mores nights! This year, they added a “Spin the Wheel” game to help undecided customers choose their cookies.
|
Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Winner: Troop 14572 (pictured: Lydia Mae W.)
Lydia Mae is passionate about giving back and ensuring her cookie donations stay local. With a goal of selling 3,000 packages, she’s become a familiar face at Northside Cub in Minneapolis, where loyal customers have supported her since she was a Daisy. Beyond selling cookies, Lydia Mae inspires young girls to join Girl Scouts and plans to start her own Daisy Troop after graduation—already enlisting her mom as Cookie Mom!
|
Way to go, Girl Scouts! Winners will receive a Dave & Buster's Experience for their troop.
