Dear CBA Undergraduate Community,
As we wrap up the 2025-2026 academic year, I want to take a moment to recognize the outstanding co-curricular involvement that we have witnessed! A special congratulations to our graduating seniors – we hope your journey here has been meaningful and fulfilling, and we wish you nothing but success as you step into your next chapter!
To those returning in the fall, I hope your summer is filled with relaxation and opportunities for professional growth, fun, and/or travel. Don’t forget that there are a wide range of experiences: from study abroad and program travel to internships and volunteer work, which may be eligible to count towards CBA Advantage. Keep logging those experiences in the Suitable app, and remember that our collection of asynchronous activities is still available should you want to keep building on your CBA Advantage progress throughout the summer.
Our student engagement team will remain available over the summer, and we’re happy to help with any questions you may have about CBA Advantage. We always welcome your ideas, feedback, and questions at CBAAdvising@lmu.edu.
Wishing you all a wonderful summer. See you in August!
Jackie

Attention May (Spring) 2026 Graduating Seniors |
If you applied to receive your degree in spring (May) 2026, please check Degree Works to confirm whether CBA Advantage is a requirement. We are currently accepting resubmissions for any denied activities that were submitted before/after the CBA Advantage deadline. Any resubmissions must be received in Suitable by Wednesday, May 6.
If submissions are received in Suitable after this date, we cannot guarantee they will be reviewed prior to when degrees are cleared from the Registrar’s Office. Students are responsible for tracking their CBA Advantage progress and making sure 2,000 points are approved. Once a student has reached 2,000 points in Suitable, their Degree Works will update to indicate that the CBA Advantage requirement has been met within 24 hours.
Questions can be directed to CBAAdvising@lmu.edu

Please remember that all CBA Advantage activities have submission deadlines. You can review the submission deadline directly on the activity itself. For synchronous events, we typically give students 3 weeks to submit their reflections after an event. For asynchronous activities, the deadlines can vary, so please be sure to give attention to them.
CBA Advantage is meant to be done throughout your journey in the CBA, and not all at once. Therefore, we do not retroactively award points for experiences whose activity deadline has passed. In this case, students are welcome to select another active activity to complete, if eligible, and/or explore the many asynchronous options offered.

-
CBA Advantage submissions are governed by LMU Academic Honesty policies. Our student engagement team personally reviews each entry submitted and will notify students if there is a suspected violation regarding their submission.
- Enable push notifications in the Suitable App by selecting the notification tab and tapping “Turn on App Notifications.” This is a mobile-only feature – don’t miss out on important reminders!
-
Remember that file types allowed for submissions will be based on your device. Android & iOS supports JPEG/PNG Images, Video, Powerpoint, & PDF while the web version supports: JPEG/PNG Images, Powerpoint, PDF, Word Documents, Excel Spreadsheets, & Video (MP4, AVI, or MOV)
- Expect CBA Advantage submissions to generally take two weeks to go through the approval process.
-
The only current requirement for CBA Advantage is that students reach a minimum of 2000-points in the Suitable App. It does not require a set number of points per competency area (for example: earning a minimum of 400 points for “Moral Courage”)
-
Suitable has a “Leaderboard” function to celebrate the students with the top points earned in the CBA Advantage program. Students are welcome to opt out of participating in the leaderboard function by going to their account settings and selecting “scorecard information/details.”
- If you are encountering technical difficulties with the Suitable app, please double-check that your app is operating on the most up-to-date version
-
You can copy and share activity links using the desktop version of Suitable. For example: https://app.suitable.co/institution/404/activities/178592
-
Events are constantly being added to the Suitable app each week. If something you want to attend through CBA cannot be found in the Suitable app, we recommend waiting until closer to the event or emailing CBAAdvising@lmu.edu to double-check if the event will be offered for CBA Advantage points
-
By completing all activities in an Experience Set, you can earn additional points.
-
“Independent Work” submissions through your Suitable Portfolio are NOT eligible for CBA Advantage points. This feature of the Suitable App is useful for those who would like to add documents unrelated to CBA Advantage activities to their e-portfolio. All submissions for the CBA Advantage program must be submitted through the appropriate activity post.
-
We welcome students' suggestions for potential CBA Advantage opportunities! We are always curating new experiences, so encourage you to share your interests and how they could apply to this program!
