Connect with campus partners and other new students
|
The Graduate School, ISSS and other campus partners, will be hosting a Transition to Graduate School at Miami: Q&A and Networking Event for students starting in graduate programs in summer or fall 2023.
This is an optional Zoom event where you can meet other incoming graduate students, ask questions of Miami University staff, and hear from current graduate students. This does not replace the New Graduate Student Orientation (which will be August 21st 4-6 p.m. (eastern) - details to follow), international student orientation or any departmental orientation. Rather, it is an additional opportunity for incoming students looking to prepare for their transition or get their questions answered. The event will include several breakout rooms organized around different topics, and attendees can choose which breakout room(s) to participate in.
There will be two sessions to accommodate different schedules:
There will be a session specifically for new international students with ISSS, which will cover information about international student orientation and other considerations particular to international students:

For off-campus living, please take time to consider your options and review the following resources.

Housing accommodations should be arranged BEFORE arrival and your move-in date confirmed with the property manager.
