Longwood Reimagined Continues |
From concrete to glass to grass, you will see a lot happening around Longwood Reimagined in the next few weeks when you visit the Gardens. Steel work is nearly complete on the Cascade Garden and glass installation is scheduled to begin by the end of September. In early October, work intensifies around the exterior of the new 1906 restaurant and our new event space, which we are calling the Fountain Room! Look for sod to be placed as well as the installation of a trellis (upon which magnolias will grow) that will adorn the façade. Just above, lights are being installed on the Conservatory Terrace around the Yellowwood trees that were planted in the spring. Don’t miss the action around our Waterlily Court, as work continues on new restrooms while the pre-cast pillars for the new Arcade begin to appear in the next few weeks. We can’t wait to share more updates and highlights as we continue to work toward the debut of these amazing new spaces in fall 2024.
