REPORT SAYS U.S. UNIVERSITIES SHOULD PRIORITIZE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
A new report from the Insititute of International Education says that the United States should make more of an effort to prioritize international students, namely because of the U.S.' ability to host a larger number of students than other international studies favorites like Australia or the UK. The report indicates that a majority of U.S. colleges and universities--92 percent--want to increase the international student population. The report highlights that by 2030, "the number of internationally mobile students will grow from 6 million in 2023 to over 10 million," with about 20 percent of those seeking to land in the U.S.
