Sacramento State cut the ribbon Nov. 12 on the new, $18.5 million Art Studio Lab, which features light-filled studios, a high-tech 3D lab, and spaces where creativity can flourish. The 20,377-square-foot facility replaces a warehouse that has served art students for over 50 years.
"This facility stands as a testament to what we can achieve together, and it will serve as a beacon of creativity and innovation for generations of Sacramento State students," said President Luke Wood.
Opening for classes in spring 2025, the sustainable building includes a lobby gallery, metal shop, graduate studios, and an outdoor sculpture yard – giving aspiring artists state-of-the-art tools to shape their creative futures.
