Backpack Giveaway Saturday!

UTHSC is partnering with Health Students Teaching Memphis Youth (a student organization in the College of Medicine), Omega Ministries, and the Memphis Medical Society to distribute backpacks full of school supplies to K-12 students on Saturday, August 13, 9:00 am – 11:00 am, at the Van Vleet Building, 3 N. Dunlap Street, on the Memphis campus.

| Kudos to Our Newest Graduates

Degrees will be presented to 72 graduates during UTHSC’s 2022 Summer Commencement ceremony Monday, August 15, at 10:00 am, at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts. The graduates include 27 from the College of Graduate Health Sciences and 45 from the College of Nursing. Congratulations, we are proud of you!

| Watch Out for Text Messaging Scams
|
Smishing, or text messaging scams, are a form of phishing in which an attacker uses a compelling text message to trick targeted recipients into clicking a link or replying to a message to reveal personal information. After Amazon Prime Day, fake delivery notification texts were reported. For any message, whether an email, text, or phone call, stay suspicious and verify the authenticity of the sender.
