Dear Alumni and Friends,
As the fall semester and the calendar year both draw to a close, we’ve been celebrating our fall graduates with degree-focused ceremonies and departmental parties, culminating with campus-wide Commencement exercises this past weekend. As I spoke with students during Commencement, I encouraged them to reflect on their journeys at CSU as a way of understanding how the challenges they’ve overcome and the accomplishments they’ve achieved both contribute to their success going forward. I also encouraged them to share their gratitude with those who made their success possible.
To our students, faculty and staff members, alumni, community partners and friends everywhere: thank you for making Cleveland State a transformational place of learning and belonging.
Together, we achieve our vision of ensuring CSU is a place where everyone thrives.

As we conclude the fall semester and our students wrap up final exams, I wanted to share with you the view from my office window. At this time of year, our campus can often look like it’s in a snow globe, and this view fills me with pride as Rhodes Tower stands out against the winter sky. It’s no surprise that our alma mater fits this scene so well.
