Congratulations to all fall 2025 graduates! |
ISSS would like to share stories and advice from your peers who have gone above and beyond to advocate for, support, and build a community for international students. In gratitude and appreciation, we have featured these students' stories on Instagram and have bestowed the first two students with the ISSS International Service Award pin to commemorate their tenacity and efforts.
Please note that this will be our last newsletter until spring 2026. Our office is so proud of each and every one of you, and we wish you all the very best! We also look forward to what next year's graduates achieve! As always, if you have questions related to immigration, you can call, email ISSS, or make an online appointment with your ISSS adviser.

|
| Degree Level: Graduate
Program: Information Systems
Position(s) Served: International Student Orientation Guide, Graduate Student Board for School of Management Executive Member (VP of Events), Graduate Women in Business Club (VP of Community and Outreach), and Graduate Teaching Assistant
"Being an orientation guide has been more than just a memorable experience — it has been truly impactful. It gave me the chance to give back to a community that supported me during a difficult time and reminded me how meaningful it is to help others feel seen, welcomed, and at home."

Degree Level: Undergraduate
Program: Communication Studies
Position(s) Served: ISA Board (Events Associate, Events Chair) and Welcome Center Ambassador
"The first time that I went to Sausalito, my friends and I drove across the Golden Gate Bridge in a rental car on a brilliant sunny day. Ice cream had never tasted so sweet. We got lost together, made memories, and explored hidden corners in a town that none of us had ever been to, at times quite literally ending up lost on a stranger's stairwell. These friendships and connections that I've made at USF have lasted throughout various ups and downs and expanded my worldview in ways I'd never thought possible."

| Degree Level: Undergraduate
Program: Media Studies
"I cannot recommend enough to get involved on campus outside of classes, whether that's student organizations, club sports, or anything you are passionate about. You get to pursue your own passions, meet people like you, and make lifelong connections that can be even bigger than just possible career opportunities. SF is a hub for so many interests, so definitely take advantage of the opportunity while you're here, especially if they're harder to find in your home country!"

Degree Level: Undergraduate
Program: Computer Science
"There were so many memorable experiences throughout my time at USF, but I thoroughly enjoyed all the festivals and events we would always have on campus — be it a club event or a USF celebration festival! Being an international student here taught me so much, and I think that has been the ultimate experience of my life so far."

| Degree Level: Undergraduate
Program: Media Studies
"As an international student, finding spaces where I felt welcomed and connected meant everything... Looking back, the community I found through the moments and the memories I made with the friends I met here are what made my time at USF truly meaningful. They’re the reason I’ll always remember this university not just as a means to getting a degree, but as a home I built for myself."
