This workshop fulfills a required component of the GMAP, getting you one step closer to award qualification.

Visit the Solar-bration webpage to read about eclipse events planned for Monday, April 8, where to park, and where to watch the eclipse. UTA will cancel classes and pause non-essential University services from 1-2 p.m. on eclipse day so that students, faculty, and staff can gather to witness the eclipse.

A limited number of eclipse glasses will be made available to the UTA campus community the week prior to the eclipse. We will offer one pair of glasses per person. Glasses will be available at the information desks in the University Center and the Commons on April 2-5, while supplies last. We will also have glasses available at the viewing locations on the day of the eclipse, while supplies last.
If you wish to guarantee that you will have glasses, or you need more than one pair, you may purchase them in advance from the UTA Planetarium at this link.

The Gallery at UTA is saying farewell to Benito Huerta, professor of art and art history, with two concurrent exhibitions featuring work by Huerta and Janet Chaffee, his wife and longtime collaborator. The exhibitions are on display until Saturday, March 30, and are free and open to the public.
