UTA's men's basketball team will take on Tarleton State University in a WAC game that will air nationally on ESPNU. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22. Come and be part of history, as UTA aims to set a new attendance record for College Park Center. UTA President Jennifer Cowley received a national award for civic and community engagement on Wednesday from Campus Compact, a coalition of colleges and universities focused on higher education and strong communities.

EXCEL Campus Activities will host the Dating Game Show today, Tuesday, Feb. 11, 4-6 p.m. in the Rio Grande Ballroom of the University Center. In this game for singles and couples, contestants pose questions to a fellow contestant on the other side of the curtain of mystery. You can win a date for you and your significant other or potentially meet a new significant other.

To reduce students' exit times in southern parking lots, Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) will soon be launching a pilot program designed to improve traffic flow. Learn more at the PATS website.

Celebrating 130 years, UTA, plaid background

Tartan design contest 

If you have a passion for design and an eye for fashion, create a commemorative tartan design that captures the spirit of UTA’s 130th anniversary celebration and submit it to the Tartan Design Competition. The winning designer will receive a $1,000 scholarship and have their design featured on University merchandise sold in the UTA Bookstore. Submit your design by Friday, Feb. 28.

International Career Week, held Monday, Feb. 17, through Friday, Feb. 21, provides Global Mavericks with workshops, presentations, and events that prepare them for the job and internship search and provide strategies for job interviews and networking.

Transportation survey

UTA students, UTA employees, and Arlington residents ages 18 and older are invited to participate in an online survey that will help researchers gauge public perceptions about the use of a fully autonomous rideshare transportation service in Arlington. Take the Arlington RAPID and Autonomous Vehicle Usage Survey.
