SENATE BEGINS TO RELEASE TEXT FOR RECONCILIATION BILL
Initial bill texts have been released by some Senate committees as the reconciliation process gears up for the chamber following the passage of the "One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act" in the House last month. The texts released this week include those from the Commerce Committee, including funds for NASA and AI infrastructure, but rescinds nearly $200 million in unused NOAA climate research funds; the Senate Armed Services Committee, which includes $16 billion to expedite innovation to the warfighter; and the Environment and Public Works Committee. The remaining committees are expected to release their bill text as soon as next week, with the most contentious saved for last. All reports indicate the Senate will not hold committee markups like the House did, instead holding a full-floor vote relatively quickly. The GOP has a goal to get the reconciliation bill to the desk of President Donald Trump by July 4.
