At Indiana Junior High, IUP senior Alistair Horton is bridging the gap between theory and the classroom. Guided by teacher and IUP grad Zack Karcher, Alistair is discovering the power of the vast IUP music education network. During its annual Celebration Weekend, IUP presented four Volunteer Leadership awards, including one to a current student, and a special Legacy Impact Award. In addition, the IUP Distinguished Alumni Award went to six graduates—from the founder of the Black World Championship Rodeo to a Pittsburgh Pirates executive. Learn about all the award recipients.

Members of the Pennsylvania State Police recruitment team will be in the Oak Grove from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. today to give demonstrations and to discuss career opportunities in the force.
