Gavas Beat is a fusion of Latin rhythms and cultures, composed by young musicians with various musical backgrounds from different countries in Latin America, including Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Venezuela.

Isn’t Homecoming Just an Event for Alumni? |
Did you know Homecoming is for the entire IUP community, not just alumni? The Office of Alumni and Friends and the IUP Ambassadors will host the Class Cab again this year from September 30 through October 4. Look for the golf cart to test your IUP knowledge and get a ride to class! The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. in Downtown Indiana on Saturday, October 5. Visit IUP Homecoming for additional information on events and activities related to Homecoming.

Root for the IUP Field Hockey team as they face off against Millersville at 11:00 a.m. Then, the Crimson Hawks will take on Clarion in football at 4:00 p.m. for their Hall of Fame game, also at Miller Stadium. Talons Up!

IUP Votes is a nonpartisan organization promoting civic engagement by increasing the number of students and community members registered and planning to vote. This includes encouraging students to vote and showing them how, where, and when. Learn how you can contribute to the university’s non-partisan voter engagement initiatives. In November 2023, Miko Rose was selected as the founding dean of the IUP proposed college of osteopathic medicine. There are not enough physicians to serve Pennsylvania citizens, and Rose is committed to addressing underserved communities and creating change in people’s lives. Osteopathic medicine treats the whole person. Learn more about Dr. Rose, osteopathic medicine, and the proposed college at IUP on Monday, September 30, in the Elkin Hall Great Room.
