Tax Incentive for Louisiana Employers
|
The Louisiana Legislature passed ACT 376 which establishes a new tax credit that supports Louisiana employers who hire apprentices, interns, and youth workers. The new credit both expands the prior credits and aligns to the state's new school accountability system, particularly as it relates to its goal of ensuring that high school graduates are better prepared for college, career, or service.

Louisiana Invention Convention

Calling all inventors, makers, tinkerers and problem solvers! Louisiana 4-H is the state affiliate of Invention Convention Worldwide, a program designed by the Henry Ford. The inaugural Louisiana Invention Convention event is on Friday, February 27th at LSU. This opportunity is available K-12th grade students. All inventors must pre-register by Feb. 11th!

Camp Code for Girls is a free week-long program that makes computer programming fun and accessible for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade girls. Campers gain hands-on experience in coding, while learning how to solve real-world problems, build mobile apps, and make a positive impact. This year's camp will be hosted at the Girl Scout Dream Lab in Gonzales, LA, June 8-12.

ExxonMobil Baton Rouge's 2026 High School Summer Intern Applications are now OPEN! Their 8‑week program gives high school students hands-on exposure by shadowing professionals in fields such as electricians, lab technicians, millwrights, engineering and more.

Carol Meyer Scholarships for College
|
The Carol Meyer Scholarship awards two $500 scholarships each year to college upperclassmen with a declared major in elementary education, mathematics education, or mathematics. In addition to the scholarship, the awardees shall receive complimentary LATM student memberships.
