A message from your Ski and Snowboard School Leadership Team |
Hello Team,
We are on the home stretch—just four more weeks remain to deliver exceptional experiences to our guests, enjoy each day on the slopes, spend time with friends, and begin looking ahead to next winter.
It’s truly smile-inducing to witness the magic you create in your lessons. You still have plenty of opportunity to provide memorable experiences filled with learning, safety, and fun. Be the instructor your students can’t imagine skiing or riding without!
Training clinics will continue to be offered right up until we close, so be sure to join one of our incredible trainers for continued professional growth. There is always more to learn, explore, and refine in our craft.
Take great care of yourselves, keep generating smiles, and continue inviting your guests to return for more learning and fun. Thank you for everything you bring to our snow sports community.
Let’s finish the season strong and leave our guests with memories that bring them back to the mountains—and back to you.

- Growth
|
These strengths reflect the heart of who we are as a team. They show that you feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to be yourselves while building real connections with each other and with your leaders. Knowing that so many of you want to return and continue growing with us is truly energizing.
|
You also shared important opportunities for us to elevate our culture even further:
|
- Larger Purpose
- Speak My Mind
- Belonging – Overall
- Purpose
-
Change Adaptation
- Future
|
We’re grateful for your honesty and for the trust it takes to share these insights. Your feedback highlights where we can deepen our sense of connection, strengthen our shared purpose, and continue building a place where every instructor and employee feels they belong, can speak openly, and feels confident about the path ahead.
|
In the coming weeks, we’ll be thoughtfully reviewing all your comments and partnering across teams to create clear, uplifting steps that support meaningful, positive change.
|
Thank you for your passion, your authenticity, and the energy you bring to our school every day. Together, we’ll keep making this an incredible place to work, learn, and thrive.

New this season, the Returner Interest Form is a digital tool for all employees to express their interest in coming back to the same role or exploring different roles next season. Returners, formerly known as SIS (Seasonal Inactive Status), are employees who come back to Vail Resorts from season-to-season or year-to-year.
|
Why it matters: The Returner Interest Form is the starting point for the Returner journey, enabling the smooth transition from ending one season and re-onboarding for another. This reduces errors, improves staffing forecasts, and aligns return decisions with performance—creating a smoother, more consistent seasonal hiring experience.
|
What happens if an employee indicates ‘No’ on returning or does not complete the Interest Form?
|
If an employee selects “No” or chooses not to submit the Returner Interest Form, they will be required to reapply through the external job posting process at jobs.VailResorts.com. This means they must submit a new application and, if rehired, will complete the full onboarding process.

Indicate your plans to return next season below:
