This month, we are sharing new resources with an expanded BMC2 Brand and Style Guide on our website. We are celebrating a new publication in the Journal of Vascular Surgery which uses BMC2 data to look at real-world application of WIfI scores in patients with peripheral artery disease. We also welcome Alondra Dorsey, who joins Sheryl Fielding in supporting our MISHC participants.

We invite you to share your stories of success in smoking cessation with us and hope you will also share your project ideas for collaboration with our Patient Advisory Councils. The patient voice is integral to ensuring the work we do meets our patients’ needs and we are thankful for the time our patient advisors spend working with us.
Thank you for your continuing dedication to our patients across the state. Our work has an impactful far passed Michigan’s borders.

Smoking Cessation Success Stories Wanted! - Our partners at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan, and the Collaborative Quality Initiatives (CQIs) Operations seek first-hand accounts from specialists and their teams around process improvements, tools and tips, and clinical pearls in approaching smoking cessation in your practice. Responses will be compiled and may be incorporated into communications highlighting tobacco cessation initiatives across CQIs. Learn more, including how to submit your story, on our blog.
Submit Project Ideas For Collaboration With The PCI And Vascular Surgery Patient Advisory Councils – Receiving patient input and feedback is an important tool in improving quality of care for the individuals we serve. Our Patient Advisory Council Members generously give of their time and share their lived experience as patients so we can improve the work we do. A Peek Inside the BMC2 Coordinating Center
Office-wide Volunteer Day At The Park - Members of the BMC2 Coordinating Center had the opportunity to gather in-person and volunteer at nearby Baxter Park on May 29th. We cleaned up the playground area and cleared a garden of thistle and other weeds before planting daisies. It was a gorgeous day and perfect way to kick off the summer!

Support for BMC2 is provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network as part of the BCBSM Value Partnerships program.
Although Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and BMC2 work collaboratively, the opinions, beliefs, and viewpoints expressed by the author do not necessarily reflect the opinions, beliefs, and viewpoints of BCBSM or any of its employees.
Further, BCBSM does not have access to BMC2 data, and all patient episodes occurring at engaged hospitals are included in the data registries, regardless of payer.
