So many things are getting done to get ready for Summer Camp 2026. Also, working on the grant projects as well. The new cabin is about 95% finished and will have its first set of campers arriving June 4th. Very exciting. The parking lot is finished as well but still working on the new exit onto 263. 

As we prepare the facilities and summer staff to lead this summer our prayer is that you are preparing for this summer as well. 

Right now, registration is down compared to last summer, we are hoping that many more kids will sign up for summer camp 2026. 

I ask that you keep the staff, event coordinators and faculty in your prayers as we begin another summer.  For 80 years Hanging Rock has been making a difference in the lives of young people. We can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do this summer. 

Dining Hall Kitchen
Added a new stove, deep fryer and 3-door fridge, expanded space, added double doors, and refurbished kitchen equipment.

Parking Lot
Flattened out dirt, added gravel, & expanded parking lot.

Cabin
Cabin 1 has been fully built! Assembled new metal bunk beds that fit up to 18 people. Includes a couple of handicapped bathrooms that match the handicapped bathrooms in the dorms.

Bunkhouse Sidewalks
Installed sidewalks at the Bunkhouse for easier access to Dorms 2 & 3.

We are so excited for our summer staff this year! They completed their first week of training last week and did a great job serving during Celebrate Good Times. Program staff have facilitated rec activities and are training to be dorm RAs this summer. Our kitchen staff have been working hard in the kitchen preparing, serving & clean up after meals. The wilderness interns have been prepping our back property to ensure that it is in great shape for horse camps, paintball camps, and wilderness camps. The maintenance assistant has been helping provide a clean property by mowing, weed eating, and making sure that facilities are in proper working order. Our photographer for the summer has been working on producing some awesome content for you all to see this summer.

We are so appreciative of our summer staff. We are excited to see how the Lord works in the lives of our staff, faculty, and campers. 

We have completed assembling the new bunk beds for all of the dorms in the Retreat Center. We are still looking for $15,000 to purchase the bunk beds for the Bunkhouse.  Would you partner with us on helping us hit our goal? Your partnership will be a huge help by giving our guests more comfortable beds in the dorm space. Hanging Rock is so thankful for the constant support that you provide for projects like this.
