CCHPR Announces Partnership Development & Sustainability Support Program (PDSS) 2026-2027 Awardees 

The Center for Community Health Partnership and Research (CCHPR) is pleased to announce four partnerships that were selected to receive 2026-2027 Partnership Development and Sustainability Support (PDSS) funding. These awards provide up to $10,000 in funding over a 12-month period for investigators and their community partner(s) to strengthen relationships and prepare for community-engaged research.

ICTS Team Members Present at ACTS Translational Science 2026

Several members of the ICTS team recently traveled to Milwaukee, WI to present their research at the four-day event, which held the theme "Building Trustworthy Translation: Rigor, Reproducibility, and Real-World Impact." The conference brought together leaders and emerging voices in translational science and clinical research for scientific sessions, networking, and collaboration.

ICTS NIH Spring Mock Study Section (MSS) Recap

The ICTS held its 15th spring cycle of the NIH MSS on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The MSS provides detailed, study-section–style feedback on complete grant applications for clinical and translational R, K, and F series awards. For this spring cycle, 60 scientists had their proposals discussed, and 41 others observed the session. We especially want to thank the session chairs and reviewers for their support!

ICTS JIT Core Spotlight - Pediatric Clinical Research Unit (PCRU) 

The PCRU provides both nursing and coordinating support and dietary services for clinical research projects conducted with children at Washington University in St. Louis. The unit is located on the 11th floor of St. Louis Children’s Hospital and has exam and interview room space, a procedure area, a phlebotomy and sample processing area.

WashU TSBM Team Publishes New Case Studies & Impact Profiles

The WashU Translational Sciences Benefits Model (TSBM) team has published seven new case studies and eight new impact profiles so far in 2026, featuring researchers from the ICTS KL2, TL1, and PROUD-MED scholar groups, the Implementation Research Institute (IRI), and the Wake Forest Clinical and Translational Science Institute.

CRTC to Offer Summer 3-Week Intensive Course on Bench Fundamentals for Translational Research 
This course will introduce fellows-in-training and future physician scientists to the core principles of scientific investigation. This unique format will combine theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on applications to provide students with an understanding of common research approaches in current scientific endeavors. The course will run online from August 3-16, 2026 and in-person from August 17-21, 2026. Applications are open now and the priority enrollment deadline is July 1, 2026.

Apply Now for Fall 2026 Clinical Investigation Courses!
Eligible individuals not enrolled in a WashU degree program are able to enroll in up to 9 credits of Clinical Investigation coursework as a non-degree seeking scholar. The Clinical Investigation Bootcamp enables scholars to gain knowledge in the core competencies of clinical research and investigation, including study design, statistical approaches, and scientific communication. Credits earned can later be applied to the graduate certificate or Master of Science in Clinical Investigation. The priority application deadline is July 1, 2026.
