“Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.”

Student Spotlight: Isaiah Perdue
Isaiah is majoring in finance and will graduate in 2027. He is part of the Promising Scholars Program and is a mentor for the fourth cohort of the Crimson Scholars Circle. Isaiah serves as secretary of the Student Finance Association and as a technology analyst for the Student Managed Investment Portfolio. A key member of UBORA Men of IUP, he facilitated an open discussion, “Life Design,” that prioritized proper planning for future success. Isaiah was nominated for the Bridge Builder Award at the 24th Leadership Awards, hosted by the Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement (now Student Life) and the Student Government Association. We thank you, Isaiah!
Staff Spotlight: Eisha Holliday
Eisha is a navigator within the University College and the Academic Success Center. The Navigator program promotes student success through individualized guidance, coaching, and mentorship. Eisha serves as the single point of contact for her assigned students, along with their families, throughout their careers at IUP. Her welcoming presence and her ability to find the best solutions have made her an invaluable resource for students. She is proud to assist them on their educational journey and path to success. She is a member of the President’s Commission on the Status of Women (Women’s Commission), a bench member of the Community Response Team, co-advisor of the NAACP student organization, and a liaison to the Promising Scholars, Crimson Scholars, and Act 101 programs. Eisha has assisted in many Student Life events, including the Winter Celebration and Crimson Salute, which are special commencement celebrations with a focus on diversity. We thank you, Eisha!
A note about IUP Values Me: Each week, we highlight one student and one staff member to “shine a spotlight” on their leadership and involvement in campus programs and their great work assisting our campus community with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and/or civil rights awareness.
