Join us this Holy Week at Wellspring!

Good Friday
Friday, April
7:00 p.m.
Our Tenebrae Service of Darkness is a longstanding tradition at Wellspring, in which we read the scriptures telling how Jesus was crucified. As we do so, we extinguish candles to signify the deep darkness of the Lord's suffering. We will have worship online and in person.

Sunday, April 5 - Easter Sunday
Easter is a day when many people who don't worship regularly consider attending church. So it’s a great opportunity to tell someone you know about Wellspring by inviting a neighbor to church, sharing the LiveStream on social media, or telling a nearby family about our growing children and youth programs. We’ll be finishing our series on spiritual practices. Come and celebrate the Risen Lord!

Cooper Elementary Teacher & Staff Appreciation Project

Wellspring’s Mercy & Justice team and UMWOW invites you to help show Wellspring's support and appreciation for the teachers and staff at Cooper Elementary as they enter the end-of-year scholastic evaluation season (STAAR testing).  We want to provide non-perishable treats and beverages once a week over a three-week period in April when student testing takes place. We estimate serving 50 to 60 people each week, so on each of the first three Sundays in April you can drop off needed items in the bin marked for Cooper in the Wellspring lobby.  Please use the sign-up sheet for ideas on what to donate.  If you want to donate money so someone else can do the shopping, or you would like to drop off items prior to Sunday, please make arrangesments with Cathy Wyman  (mailto:csnwyman@wymanusa.org)

Communion at the Wesleyan

First Sundays, 11:00 a.m.

Cactus Den

All residents of the Wesleyan are invited to share in communion on the first Sunday of the month. We gather at 11:00 at the Cactus Den and watch the YouTube video of the 9:00 worship service. We serve communion in person, and it's a lot of fun!

Hope you'll join us.

Nursery Job Opening

Our current nursery staff is comprised mostly of wonderful college students. As such, they are unavailable many Sundays during the summer and over holidays.  As the summer approaches, Wellspring is looking for more adult (18yrs & up) nursery workers – especially to help us out this summer.  Shifts are 8:45am-12:15pm.

If interested, contact Frank Jacks Jr (Director of Discipleship), jacksf@wellumc.org

March 29 was Morgan Garret’s last Sunday on staff at Wellspring as she begins a new role as Family Ministry Assistant at Westlake UMC in Austin. Since joining Wellspring in 2023, she has served in countless ways and discerned a call to ministry, beginning the ordination process. We celebrated and blessed her during both worship services last Sunday. While we will miss her, we are deeply proud of and grateful for Morgan, and we send her with love and prayers into this next chapter.

This class studies the weekly worship sermon... The First Witnesses
Matthew 28:1-10
Easter in Matthew is not quiet or abstract—it is seismic, embodied, and entrusted to unexpected witnesses. The women come simply to look, yet they encounter an earth-shaking act of God that overturns death and empire alike. Holding fear and great joy together, they become the first proclaimers of resurrection—not because they are powerful, but because they are present, faithful, and willing to go and tell. The resurrection is not just something to believe; it is something to live—carried into the world by those who have seen life break through death and dare to proclaim it anyway.
