CCFCS Launches “Ukraine Project - See Their Stories”

Public Service Announcement Campaign

Watch "What is Home?", our Public Service Announcement (PSA) featuring Ukrainian refugees, currently airing in the Rochester, NY television market. This 30-second PSA is part of a major new addition to See Their Stories, our award-winning video and web-based program about refugee resettlement. Over the past year and a half, CCFCS has helped resettle more than 1,000 Ukrainian men, women, and children who fled the war in Ukraine. The Ukraine Project: See Their Stories was made possible thanks to a generous donation from Sundance Marketing and other community partners.

YouthBuild Holds Open House

Sixteen students in the current cohort for the CCFCS YouthBuild program proudly showed off YouthBuild's new training facility at an Open House in June. Rochester Mayor Malik Evans and State Assemblyman Demond Meeks were among those who attended.  The move to a larger training facility was made possible with $2.4M from the City of Rochester under the American Rescue Plan Act. As part of their education in the construction trades, YouthBuild students pictured here are now helping Habitat for Humanity build affordable housing in Rochester.

Thank You for Taking the Time to Catch Up With Us!

Summer may be winding down, but the staff at CCFCS is busier than ever - from the Children, Youth and Family Services team pictured at the top of this newsletter, to Development Project Manager Allison Ewing, pictured here! Thanks to Allison, our School Supplies Drive is in full swing.  I am amazed by the generous donors who've dropped off everything from backpacks and notebooks to pens, pencils and so much more.  Because of you, our school-aged clients will head to school this fall with the supplies they need to be ready to learn.  If you'd like to support our School Supplies Drive, you can shop via our Amazon Wish List by clicking on this link.  Thank you for supporting our mission, our programs, and our staff as we walk with our clients on their journey to independence and dignity.
