The Capital Area STEM Network Center is excited to announce the return of the Spark Your Summer program, designed to empower and uplift single mothers, particularly those within the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) demographic. Participants will receive hands-on training in essential skills such as hand tools, automotive care, basic electricity, and HVAC systems. Each session includes lunch and engaging STEM activities for children.

LSU Center for Energy Studies' New One Week Courses

Energy Fundamentals is designed to provide an overview and introduction to the energy sector, with a focus on Louisiana and the Gulf Coast Region. Participants will be exposed to the history, science, and economics of producing and consuming energy. CPD and MCLE hours will be available. Each day will have six hours of possible credit hours.

The LASTEM Summit is an annual conference whose goal is to strengthen PK-16 STEM education throughout Louisiana and the nation. The LASTEM Summit will take place on October 9, 2024 - FREE to attend!

The Quality Science and Math (QSM) Grant Program is now accepting grant applications for the 2024-2025 grant cycle. PK-12 public school teachers who are looking for a way to purchase instructional materials and equipment for their math, science, or STEM class should consider submitting a proposal!
QSM Grant proposals will be accepted from Monday, July 1, 2024, through Sunday, September 8, 2024.
