Logan Alumni Spotted Together in the World
Sometimes, in these alumni newsletters, we laud the accomplishments of our alumni - major awards, books published, job updates, etc. This time, we wanted to laud what is truly one of the most impressive things about our alumni - their relationships and friendships with one another. Being a Logan student builds a strong bond, and here’s some evidence of those bonds, across the world!
Jillian Hallock and Hannah Lemmer (2002) together in South Korea. Jillian was visiting South Korea and met up with Hannah, who lives in Japan!
Ally Dellgren (2012) and Aaron Bloom (2010) got married! Congrats, Blooms!
George Woodliff-Stanley (2009) and Marty Caplan ran into each other while hiking on an EE trip! George is now the Associate Teacher for Kelly Y’s AS class, and Marty was Logan’s Head of School from 2000-2004.

Anita Smith, who taught music at Logan in the late 90s/early 2000s, got together this past spring with former students Chris Miller (2001), Ellery Peters Saum (2001), Pravin Grant (2001), Ashley Martinez (2000), Amber Carlson (2002), Kellyn Standley (1998), and Casi Wildeman (2001) who wanted to thank her for the impact she made on their lives and love of music. Anita’s daughters Betsy Kumar (2001), Sara Mazzoni (2001), Alli Smith (1998) also joined from three different continents. Anita died on May 6, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer. These students also organized Logan’s Anita Smith Music Fund, which is still receiving donations.

Logan School Strategic Plan
The Strategic Planning Design Team includes Ross Rainaldi (2013) - back row, 4th from the right.
Undergoing a strategic plan process is a normal part of the life of a healthy, mature independent school. Logan is thrilled to partner with consultants from Leadership+Design and stakeholders across our community to begin this year-long endeavor. This process will be robust and all-encompassing, with many touch points and opportunities for participation throughout the school year. We’d love to have input from our alumni community.
