Dear Eagle Nation,
As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many reasons we have to be grateful. I am honored to serve as President of this exceptional institution. Guiding Coppin State University and witnessing the extraordinary accomplishments of our community is a privilege I cherish every day.  This season reminds us to pause and appreciate the people, moments, and opportunities that enrich our lives every day.
One of the highlights of our Thanksgiving celebrations is our annual “Friendsgiving” meal. This cherished tradition brings us all together to share a meal, enjoy each other's company, and create lasting memories. It is a time to connect with friends, old and new, and to celebrate the diverse and vibrant community that makes Coppin State so special.

I want to share my heartfelt gratitude for my family—my wonderful wife and the First Lady of Coppin State University, Toinette and my daughters, Ashley and Alicia. Your unwavering love, support, and encouragement are a daily source of inspiration, strength, and joy in my life.
As we gather with our loved ones this Thanksgiving, let us also take a moment to remember those who may not have the same opportunities. Let us extend our kindness and generosity to those in need, and continue to build a community that is inclusive, supportive, and compassionate
Wishing you all a joyful and restful Thanksgiving filled with love, warmth, and reflection. Whether you are traveling, working, gathering with loved ones, or simply enjoying some quiet time, may your holiday be meaningful and fulfilling.
