Dear Eagle Nation:
The 2022 Midterm Election is set for tomorrow, November 8. Many of us will have an opportunity to exercise our right and responsibility to vote, and I encourage everyone who can, to participate in this important process.
There are many people who were long-denied the opportunity to have their voices heard, and interests represented at any level of government. Even now, there are efforts to undermine and discourage engagement in the voting process.
I am proud to see our students, faculty, and staff rallying around issues that matter to them and engaging with one another in meaningful ways. Our choices will have short-term and long-term consequences, impacting our quality of life as individuals and as a university community.
Please, do not take your right and responsibility to vote for granted. There were many people, throughout history, who sacrificed themselves and their freedom, to make this possible.

If you are not sure where you are able to cast your ballot on November 8, you can utilize the polling place lookup tool on the Maryland State Board of Elections website, to find your assigned polling place.
A shuttle will be available for students registered to vote using their university address, from the Talon Center to Frederick Douglass High School, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Election Day.
If you are participating in mail-in voting, your ballot must be mailed, or dropped off at any of the Ballot Drop Box locations by 8 p.m. tomorrow
