Snow Is In the Forecast. We’re Ready – Are You? |
Skokie Public Works is preparing for anticipated snowfall this Wednesday.
Parking and plowing reminders:
|
-
Alternate-side parking goes into effect after a snowfall of 2 inches or more.
- Sidewalk plowing occurs after a snowfall of 4 inches or more.
- Alley plowing occurs after a snowfall of 6 inches or more.
|
Stay informed: There are many ways to find out if alternate-side parking is in effect – including subscribing to this email, The Scoop. Review all notification methods.
Be a good neighbor: Keep your sidewalk free of snow and ice, and remember to move your car to the appropriate side of the street.
Be a good driver: Let plows do their job. Keep your distance behind plows on the road and in parking lots, and avoid passing plows.
