Skokie Residents Take Action to Fight the Flu!

Skokie residents turned out in strong numbers for the Village’s free flu shot clinics held on October 9 and 16 at Oakton Park Community Center. Thanks to the Health and Human Services Department, community members received their flu vaccinations through these clinics, free of charge and without insurance requirements. High-dose vaccines were also available for residents 65 and older. These clinics are part of Skokie’s ongoing commitment to public health and community well-being.
View more pictures from the clinics on the Village’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Missed the clinics? Flu shots are still available through the Skokie Health Department. Call 847-933-8252 to schedule an appointment. Protect yourself and others this flu season—get vaccinated today!

Have Your Say: Skokie Lead Service Line Project
|
The Village of Skokie will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at Village Hall (5127 Oakton Street).
The hearing is your chance to share your thoughts about the Lead Service Line Replacement Project, which will replace about 5,000 lead water lines in the village. This is part of the process with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA), which may help pay for some of the project.
You can give your comments in person at the hearing, online or by mail. Make sure to include your contact information. Comments will be accepted until November 8, 2025.
For more information on how to share your comments and to see the project plan, visit the Village’s public hearing page.
