The Director's Corner

We had an exciting one-and-a-half-day training on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 22 and 23, sponsored by Jacques D. McKee, VP of Public Engagement & Corporate Responsibility of JP Morgan Chase. Director Scott Hamilton, CEO and President of the Urban League State of Arkansas, convened the training at Brandon House. The training offered strategies to help nonprofit organizations develop skills, connections and methods for achieving communications goals. A team from Spitfire Strategies engaged the organizations in developing a strategic communication plan for our organizations by using Smart Chart planning tools to drive our communication and complete messages to achieve the objectives of our targeted audiences. We applaud Scott and the Urban League team for recognizing the need for local nonprofit groups to connect and learn from each other—hats off to JB Morgan Chase for their interest in investing in the vitality of Little Rock.

Final Friday

The Final Friday event hosted by the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and Brandon House Cultural & Performing Arts Center promises to be a unique opportunity for member representatives to share their stories. With a medium-sized, intimate lunch setting, forty to fifty representatives from different businesses come together at the chamber or a member business to trade tales of their successes and challenges, and the remedies they have found along the way. Each member is given a few minutes to share their unique story, allowing for connections to be made within the group. This event provides a valuable platform for members to tell their story and make meaningful connections, making it a must-attend for potential donors, sponsors, and business owners alike.
